Family photos at mother’s group combined first birthday: Since the birth of our daughter nearly one year ago, my wife has been attending a mother’s group in our local area. The group consists of mainly first time mothers whose children are roughly the same age. Rather than invite the whole group to each child’s birthday, it was decided that having a large combined birthday party at the end of the year, and having all partners along would be a good alternative.

So, last weekend the three of us went along to the combined first birthday party of the mothers group at Rotary Park, Wanneroo, Western Australia. The park is always very popular as it has several large playgounds with activites for all ages of children, and even facilities for wheelchair bound youngsters. Thanks to all the parents for the great food and lovely afternoon. It was very nice to meet everyone that my wife has been talking about all year.

Having just picked up the Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L USM lens during the week, it was a great opportunity to give it test run…
